She is on the 1880 census, age 4, with her parents in Valley, Polk Co. Ia. (p 546, fa m #215/220 )On the 1900 census, we see Abraham, 46, physician. Wife "Daisy", age 24, declares they have been married one year and she has born no children. In 1910, Grimes, Polk Co., Ia., we see Abraham, 54, doctor, b. Ind. Grace 34, declares they have been married 11 years and she has born 2 children, one alive at this time. Charlotte, 4, is with them. Abraham is the son of Elwood Peacock (1823-1897) and Naomi Jones (1827-1901) He married (1) Louvina Elvira Ford, who bore him a daughter, Carrie Mae, b. Aug 1878, Putnam Co., Mo. Louvina died 23 Nov 1884. Abraham, born to the Quaker faith, was a Medical Doctor and an avid gardner. His journals, still in the care of family members we are told, chronicle the births of several Rittgers. We thank his grand-daughter Lorene Alice Wineland (#16722.1) for information on this family.
