    Known all men by these present that I William Williams of Prince Edward County in the state of Virginia for divers food causes and considerations me hereunto moving have made ordered authorized nominated and appointed, and by these present do make ordain, authorize and appoint William Mathews my true and lawful attorney, for me, and in my name, to act, demand, sue for and recover of soutz [such] person, or persons, in whose lands the legacies may be in (which legacies) were left to Ellinor Porter by Samuel Ewing last will and testament before her intermarriage with me the said William Williams and by James Ewing since her intermarriage with me the said Williams wh___ all such sum or sums of money, ____ and demands whatsoever, which are now due unto me as Husband of the said Ellinor, and to have use and take all lawful ways and means, in my name, or _______ for recovery these of and to compound and agree for the same, and acquittance or other sufficient discharges for the same for me and in my name, to make such and deliver, and to do all other lawful acts and things whatsoever considering the premises, as fully as every respect, as I myself might or could do even I personally present at the doing thereof, and _____ one or more under him for the purpose aforesaid to make and again at his pleasure to _____ ______ and confirming and by these presents allowing what my said attorney shall in my name do, or cause to be done, in and about the premises by virtue of these presents which are ____ called witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal this second day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety one
