Gerrit was appointed constable and collector of Kingston on 4 Mar 1707.

On 8 Jan 8, 1710/1, Gerrit owned a " lot and Orchard " in Kingston, " the second lot from the church." This lot was mentioned on 28 Aug 27 1712, when his brother Elias conveyed away the adjoining property, as being owned by "Antje Van Bunschoten, Widdow." There is a reference to Gerrit in the church warehouse records on 11 Apr 1721. Therefore he must have died somewhere between those two dates.
