Geraldine had previously been married to Dr. Scholl of Chillicothe, OH, and had two children, Neil and Barbara. Leslie did not formally adopt the children, but they attended Thayer Academy under the names of Neil and Barbara Claff. Neil became production manager of M. B. Claff & Sons until its demise, when he bought Lyons Stationery Store in Randolph, MA, which he and his wife ran (also employing Eleanor Davis Claff), until they retired to No. Barnstable on Cape Cod, where they were living in 1996.
