Death of Mrs Thurston - She was proprietor of the Shirley House at Winthrop
Winthrop, Sept 26 - Mrs. Georgianna Thurston, one of the most popular host proprietors of this town, died of paralysis this afternoon after an illness of about a week's duration. For the past five years she was proprietor of the famous Shirley house at Ocean Spray, Winthrop. Mrs. Thurston was a native of Ossipee, NH. and was the wife of Nathaniel Thurston, who died 35 years ago. For the past 25 years she had kept a restaurant on Bowdoin st, Boston. She had three children, Winfield O., who died last year; Mrs Mabel Haskell of Boston and Mrs Adelaide Haldeman of Wakefield.
The funeral will be held next Sunday morning and the internment will be in Mt Auburn cemetery.
