From newspaper notice: Detroit resident raised in this community -- The death took place on Friday, January 24th at his home in Detroit, of George White, in his 81 year. He grew to manhood on the Tenth Line of Collingwood Township on the farm on which White's church is situated. As long as health permitted Mr. White was an active worker in the United Church. He is survived by his widow, formerly Margaret Atkins, and two sons of Detroit. He was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. George Hendry and two brothers, Michael of Collingwood and William of Thornbury. He was a brother of Mrs. David White of Thornbury who is the last of a family of five born to Mr. and Mrs. Wm. White, one of the first families to settle on the Tenth Line. Mr. Wm. White was also the first reeve of Collingwood Twp
