George Wade's estate included his house and 8 1/2 acre lot in Macon; 605 acres farm land known as Oliver Place and 200 acres farm land known as the Heard Place; stocks and bonds. The estate was liquidated, debts paid, and the rest distributed to heirs: Mary Jane [Wade] Parker [sister] of Dexter, MO and estate of David Buchanan Wade [brother], formerly of Campbell, MO, $2000 each. James W. Wade [brother] of Carterville, IL $100 (forfeited when he contested will). The remainder was divided equally among Mrs. Bessie [McHenry] Robbins [niece] of Paulette, MS, Mr. Thomas McHenry [nephew] of Macon, MS, Mrs. Gertrude [Wade] McHenry [niece] of Macon, MS, Mrs. Leona [Wade] Hooks [niece] of Clarksdale, MS, Mr. Robert T. Wade [nephew] of Drew (Sunflower Co), MS, Mrs. Anna Lynn Dodds LeJeune of New Orleans, LA and Mr. Sydney Baltzer Dodds of Clarksdale, MS.

More on the Dodds: According to the 1900 Coahoma Co MS Census, S. L. [Sydney Lee] Dodds, his wife, Anna C, [Baltzer] and son, Sydney B. (2 yrs old) lived next door to George and Sallie M. Wade (married 17 years, no children). S. L. Dodds' occupation was Manager, Lumber Company. George Wade was Manager and Vice-President, Lumber Company. (Family lore says George's brother, Edward Brooks Wade, owned a Sunflower Lumber Company headquartered in Coahoma Co MS. Both S. L. Dodds (Oct 1865) and George Wade (Sept 1851) were from Fulton Co KY.

In 1896, George G. Wade was on the Board of Directors for Planters Bank. His nephew, R. T. Wade, son of Edward B. Wade, served on the same board as did his business associate in Sunflower Lumber Co., S.L.
