In 1860 was a laborer and Peter Bailey was a neighbor; in 1870 1880, a retail grocer and O.J. Corll was a neighbor in 1880. 'G. Rupright, grocer, bought out John Miller in 1864. He moved to Canfield village from a farm in the southeastern part of the township.' Source: History of Trumbull Mahoning Counties Vol 2, page 19. At time of death he was retired. Obituaries Home Happenings - George Rupright one of the oldest and best known residents of this village, died suddenly Thursday morning. He had been ailing for some time but death resulted from heart failure. The deceased was born in Canfield township Dec. 13, 1827, and in consequence was 79 years of age. He learned the carpenter trade which he followed for some time. In 1863 he lost one of his hands by the explosion of a cannon. He resided in the village for more than 40 years, conducting a grocery store and carrying the mail between the post-office and the railroad station. His widow and one brother, Peter Rupright, of New Buffalo survive him. Funeral services will be held Saturday, meeting at the house at 12:30 o'clock and going to Zion reformed church where Rev. J. C.
