George and brother Samuel spent their early years together, eventually settling in the New River area of VA, where both married and began families.

George left VA around 1805, and migrated into the Floyd/Lawrence County area of KY with his second wife, Elizabeth Brown, and the children from his first marriage to Mary Brown. Most descendants of George Pack remained in KY, but several migrated into Wayne and Lincoln County in today's WV, in about 1850. An appreciable number of descendants still live in KY and WV.

Samuel Pack, Jr. and his brother, George, were soldiers in the militia prior to the Revolutionary War. They enlisted at Fincastle County and fought under Captain James Robertson at Fort Fincastle, later renamed Fort Henry above Wheeling Creek. This was Lord Dunmore's War of 1774.
