Directory shows George as a grocer at 209 E. Washington Street. That would be downtown Indianapolis today, but the numbering system has changed a few times. A guess would be that the address would be in the 900 block in 2013. The listing shows that George boarded at 33 N. Noble. Noble is now College Avenue, so he probably boarded pretty close to Washington Street. Perhaps he met his wife through this grocery business? 1867 happens to be the year that they were married.
↑ It would seem the discrepancy in the death date and the burial date would be the re-burial at Crown Hill Cemetery, from somewhere else. Concordia Cemetery?
