George and Annie lived in Hackney. He looked after the horses of the Duke of Connaught. George and his wife would often visit Ireland to buy horses for the Duke. George also invented a special linament for the horses. Because he often wore checked breeches ans jackets and a cravat with a horses head pin, George was considered to be 'rather loud' by his sister-in-law Annie (Beaufoi) May.

Gt Grandma Annie didn't care for George because she considered him rather 'loud'. He wore check jackets, breeches and cravat with horse head pin in it and once arrived at Gt Grandpa's house on a horse. (comments by Auntie Paul - Pauline Kisky)
