[Lambert.FTW] All but George were of tithable age as of 1790. Will: "In the name of God, Amen, so be it remembered that I G eorge Lambert of Pendleton Cty. and State of Virginia being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory, or you may say thus considering the unc ertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind so, blessed be almight y God for the same, do make and publish this may last will and Testament, in the manner and form following: Wife Nelly: the household and kitchen furnit ure and one bay mare; Son George: One rifle gun and five dollars; Son Noah: One rifle gun and five dollars; Son John: twenty-five dollars; Son Harvey: twenty-five dollars; Son Arnold: "all of my lands with the exception of a sm all piece adjoining Amos Judy, and the said Arnold Lambert binds himself his heirs to furnish the said father & mother a comfortable maintenance during their lives off of the said lands; His wife's property he willed to his daugh ter Mary (!) Will dated 17 Oct. 1840. He died the next August and his will was presented 5 Jan. 1842. The will contains George Lambert (X) his mark. I t was witnessed by Solomon Henkle and James Warren. Purchased 60 acres in 180 0 in Dry Run, Virginia. [6027] [6028] George was almost certainly born in V irginia. His brother James's Revolutionary War pension application shows that John, Sr., his father was living in what is now Pendleton County in 1774-177 5.
