Funeral Today at 3 For George Keating Funeral service will be held today, Nov. 18, at 3 p.m. at the Bartholomew-Buell chapel for George Henry Keating who died at his home, 944 4th St., Springfield on Tuesday, Nov. 16, he was 75. Mr. Keating was born in Blye, Canada, Jan. 16, 1879. He was married to Nona L. Oldham Mar. 27, 1905 in Greenfield, Iowa. Mr. Keating has lived in Springfield 26 years where he operated a hardware store. He was a retired licensed funeral director from Iowa. He was a member of the Christian church. Survivors include his wife, Nona, of Springfield; a grandson Darrell Keating with the U.S. Marines in El Toro, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Crawford and Mrs. Maggie Low, both of Greenfield, Iowa. Rev. Claude O'brien will officiate at the service and interment will be in Laurel Hill cemetery.
