Name George Gutteridge
Gender Male
Christening[1] 29 Dec 1713 Kimpton, Hertfordshire, England

George Gutteridge was baptised on 29th December 1713 at Kimpton in Hertfordshire, son of Elizabeth Gutteridge, formerly Marshall, and her husband Daniel Gutteridge, a yeoman. George's mother was from St Ippolyts, a few miles north of Kimpton. The family appears to have moved to St Ippolyts some time between 1713 and 1723. By 1726 they were living in Hitchin, the town immediately north of St Ippolyts. In June 1726, aged twelve years old, George was apprenticed to an Edward Rust, a tailor and barber of Shillington in Bedfordshire. George has yet to be traced after 1726.
