George Washington Green married his first wife, Eunice Train, and they had three children; She died in child birth. Then George married his 2nd wife, Esther L. Alford, and they had a son named George W. Green Jr. who married Emma A. Root. After Esther's death George married his 3rd wife, Esther Cotton; they had one child. His 4th wife was named Catherine A. Green, and they had one child.

George W. Green came to Michigan in the late 1850s
