... Another brother of Dr. Joseph CARSON, namely, the late George Correy CARSON, born June 1, 1814, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1832 and became a successful merchant in Philadelphia. He joined the First Troop, Philadelphia City Cavalry, November 16, 1839.
He married Harriet Rosalie MORGAN, daughter of Thomas Assheton MORGAN, who still survives her town residence being 1535 Spruce Street with her son, George Correy CARSON, who is unmarried. Another son in George Assheton CARSON, who, with his wife (nee Elizabeth Handy REEVES) and children, resides at 1533 Spruce Street, with a summer home at Torresdale. A sister of theirs is Mrs. Neilson BROWN (nee Elizabeth Lawrence CARSON), now of Bryn Mawr, whose daughter if Mrs. Clarence W. DOLAN, (nee Rosalie BROWN), of Rosemont. ...
