Here lyeth the Body of George Bush, fenior, of this Parifh, Yeoman, who departed this Life May 4, 1722, aged 70 Years.

Also in Memory of SAMUEL EVANS, of the Parifh of St George, who lies buried here. He died March 11, 1765, aged 57 Years.

Also the Body of Joan, Wife of the said SAMUEL EVANS, and late Wife of GEORGE GODFREY. She died June 5, 1774, aged 62 Years.

To be interred with someone else obviously implies enormous intimacy so who were the Evanses, how were they related to the Bushes and, indeed, how were Joan and Samuel related? But, even those big questions aside, the most exciting possibility is that they were related to the Elizabeth Evans who married (in 1730) James, yeoman, father of James of Kentish Town. One thought is that Susannah (wife of George) was nee Evans and Elizabeth was her neice.
