George W Bingle

George W Bingle, 75, formerly of Risingsun, Fostoria and Sarasota, Fla, died 2:34 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, at the OH Veterans Home in Sandusky, where he was a resident.

He was born March 15, 1927, in Risingsun, to Joseph Henry and Miriam Enid (Mitchell) Bingle. He married Margaret (Drobny) Bingle in 1949. They are divorced. He then married Audrey Hoy-Fisk in 1969. She died in 1999.

Survivors include: four sons, John A Bingle, CW-4 of Fort Hood, TX, Paul D Bingle of Columbus, Fred G Bingle of Fremont and Robert E Bingle of Bluffton; two daughters, Marilyn M Schnee of Lancaster, Pa, and Cynthia A Might of Fostoria; a stepson, Russell Fisk of Bradenton, Fla; two step-daughters, Lynda Mayor-Roach of Snellville, Ga, and Marilyn Fingerle of Mt. Holly, N.C; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, John and Fred Bingle, both of Risingsun.

Mr. Bingle was a U.S Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was active in the Army Reserves for more than 30 years, and was an officer in the Civil Air Patrol.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Scott Trinity United Methodist Church in Risingsun, where the United Veterans of Fostoria will conduct military rites at the church. Burial will be in Scott Trinity Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Mann-Hare Funeral Home in Fostoria.
