George Beadle was baptised on 7th June 1781 at Benington in Hertfordshire, son of George and Mary Beadle.

On 13th November 1802, George married Dorcas Walby, who was from the neighbouring parish of Aston. They married at Aston and settled there after their marriage. They had eight children baptised at Aston between 1803 and 1824. Some of the children's baptisms give George's occupation as being a labourer.

Dorcas died in 1830, aged 47.

The 1841 census finds George living with two of his children in Aston, and working as an agricultural labourer. By 1851 he was living at Burrs Green in the parish of Benington.

By 1861 George was living with his son Henry and his family at Whempstead, in the parish of Watton at Stone. He appears to have lived there for the rest of his life. George died at the age of 92, and was buried at Watton at Stone on 12th January 1874.
