1870: Is he the apprentice carpenter in Hoosick NY, age 18? (George) If so, he's still there in 1880, now a carpenter, married to Jennie with a daughter, Nellie, 7 months. (Nov 1879)

But Betty says he ends up in Nebraska; I find a George Barber there, self and parents b. VT, with wife Francis/Frances living with their son Ovil (?) in Nebraska. But I cannot find them in 1900 or earlier; they would have married about 1875; she's from Illinois. (They're also in NE in 1920, just the two of them.)
