from an email 23Jul2002 from Mary Crockett: "The Church that her great gra ndfather bought the land for was St. Columkille's.[So. of Atwater(McAlpi n) Rd. on West side of M-53(8 miles West of Ubly, Huron Co.] The family t hat remains in Bad Axe and Ubly still attend it." Many settlers of this church came from Ontario County, Ontario.
