Obituary

GEORGE BUSMAN 80, PASSED AWAY, JAN 7.

 George Busman, 80, resident of Coopersville for 63 years, died Saturday afternoon in the Coopersville Christian Rest Home.
  He was born December 28, 1875, in Germany, coming to this area at the age of 17.  He married Miss Fannie Oostermeyer in Sullivan.  She died December 22, 1953.
 The couple had resided on a farm near here until retiring 12 years ago when they moved into town.  For the past nine years Mr. Busman had worked for John Hop in the poultry business, and for seven of those years had also assisted at the Coopersville Livestock Sales.
 He was a member of the Coopersville Reformed church and of its Men's Adult Bible Class.
 He leaves a son, Gillis of Grand Rapids; a daughter, Mrs. John Bouwman of Coopersville; five grandchildren; three great-grand-children; and a sister, Mrs. Harm DeWitt of Coopersville.
 Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, at 2:o'clock at the Reformed Church, with the Rev. Peter Muyskens officiating.  Burial was in the Coopersville cemetery.
