Gary "Crazy" Hannon

Age 67, passed away on January 3, 2007. He was born on December 5, 1939 in Sault Ste. Marie, and had lived in the Lansing area most of his life. He was employed as a deputy with the Ingham County Sheriff's Department for 23 years, retiring in 1995. He was always the life of the party, and everyone knew him as "Crazy." Surviving are: daughter, Stacy (Jake) Loyacano of Holt; son, Gregory Hannon of Lansing; 5 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Taylor, Dustin, Joel and Hunter; very good friends, Kirk, Mollie and Doug Schraufnagle; special brother-in-law, Don Green; and all of his card-playing friends at the Crystal. He was preceded in death by: parents, Stanley and Babe Hannon and brother Jack Hannon. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2007, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Interment will follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sparrow Hospice Services in memory of Gary Hannon.
