From the Orillia Packet; 26 October, 1922: "Mr. Fred O'Donnell, of Portland, Oregon, has been in Orillia during the past week, visiting his father, Mr. Michael O'Donnell, and his sister, Mrs. George J. Overend. It is 22 years since Mr. O'Donnell left Brechin, and for 20 years of that time, he has been in Portland, where he is engaged in the milk business. He was one of the delegates to the conventi on of the American Milk Dealers at Minneapolis, and came on "home" for a visit. Mr O'Donnell likes the West, but much impressed with the improvement in Orillia."
