OCCUPATION: Apprenticeship at Ackworth School [1865-1867]. This included oneyear at Flounder's Institute (accommodation for students training to be teachers). Teacher at Oliver's Mount School, Scarborough, Yorkshire, England [1867-1871]. Teacher Superintendent at Ackworth School from 1871 to 1920 - 43years.
