Lobdell. - Frank E. Lobdell, the only child of John B. and Katharine Lobdell, was born in Georgetown, Mich., October 11, 1868. On January 23, 1889, he was married to Miss Elizabeth F. Burdick of Wirt Center, N. Y. The first fifteen years of their married life were spent at Georgetown, Mich., when they moved to Wirt Center, N. Y., spending eleven years there, then moving to Battle Creek, Mich., three years ago where they have since made their home.

Five children were born to them, three sons and two daughters. Two of the sons, the oldest, and the youngest of the family, have passed away. The remaining son, Ivan, and the oldest daughter, Mrs. Thomas Stillman, are married and their homes are in Battle Creek. The younger daughter, Dorene, is with the mother.

While the deceased never made a public confession of religion, he was deeply interested in it, and at one time made a decided start in a special revival effort. He died very suddenly on the morning of November 16th of acute debilitation of the heart at the age of 51 years, 1 month, and 5 days.

He was a good husband and father and was of a cheery disposition, always trying to look on the bright side of life. He leaves many friends who with his family will mourn their loss.
