From the October 20, 1959, edition of the Traverse City (MI) Record-Eagle Frank Kubesh Taken By Death Frank P. Kubesh, 86, of Long Lake township, died late Monday afternoon at Munson hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Kubesh was born in Grand Traverse county June 29, 1873. He helped pioneer, clear the forests and establish a farm, which he farmed all his life in the same area. He was a life member of the Czechosolvak Society of America, lodge 123 of this city. He is survived by three sons, Fred of Frankfort, Robert and Charles, both of this city; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Grace) Fairbanks of Grand Rapids, Mich., Mrs. Arnold (Gladys) Radcliffe and Mrs. Jack (Maxine) Domline, both of Traverse City. There are 19 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, and a brother, John Kubesh of Traverse City. He was preceded in death by his wife Esther in May 1956, and one sister, Mary Rokos of this city. The body is at the Martinson funeral home where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday. Dr. Howard R. Towne will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot in Memorial Gardens cemetery. |
