Ellwood City - Frank Gongaware, 55, of Ellwood City RD1 was dead on arrival at Aultman Hospital, Canton, Ohio, at 12:33am today.
He suffered a heart attack while visiting his daughter, Mrs. Charles (Lydia) Lewis of Waynesburg, Ohio.
Mr. Gongaware was born in Monaca, Pa, March 24, 1910 to Samuel E. Gongaware of Princeton and the late Lydia Loughner Gongaware. He was a resident of Ellwood City 47 years.
He was a self employed carpenter. He was a member of the St. Agatha Church.
Surviving are his wife. Mary Bellian Gongaware; his father; a step-mother Mrs. Edith Stickel Gongaware; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Sylvia) Miller of Fombell, Mrs. William (Barbara) Hufnagel of Ellwood City and Mrs. Charles (Lydia) Lewis of Waynesburg, Ohio; five brothers, John of Ellwood City, Oliver of Portersville, Emmanuel of Monrovia, Calif., Earl of Kearns, Utah., and Merle of Emmett, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Lillian Ureatha) Boak of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. George (Joan) Chistophe of Portersville, Mrs. Gaylord (Iva Mae) Stickel of Portersville and Mrs. Frank (Jean) DePoalo of New Castle; two stepbrothers, Everett Stickel of Ellwood City and William Stickel of New Castle; four stepsisters, Mrs. Boyd (Ella) Majors of Portersville, Mrs. Everett (Ethel) Klein of Rochester, Mrs. Kenneth (Bernice) Miller of Prnceton, and Mrs. George (Corabelle) Miller of Ellwood City.
