  Frank Denise of Freehold was assaulted by Lawrence Holt last Saturday week. Mr. Denise had Holt arrested and the latter was sent to the county jail to await the action of the grand jury.

  Lawrence Holt pleaded quilty last Wednesday to a charge of assaulting Frank DeNise, a Freehold farmer, last August. Holt was releasd under suspended sentence.

Wyckoff Taylor died at his home near Marlboro on Tuesday night of last week. He was 85 years old, Mr. Taylor had been a farmer all his life. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. David Buck and Mrs, Frank Denise of Freehold and Mrs. Marianna Smock of Red Bank. The funeral was held on Friday at the Colt's Neck Reformed church and the service was conducted by Rev. Octave VonBeverhoudt. The body was buried in the Colt's Neck cemetery.
