               Francis "Bud" McArdell
                 September 30, 2005

  Francis "Bud" McArdell, 88, passed away on September 30, 2005, in Syracuse, NY. Bud was a lifelong resident of Liverpool, NY. In later years he split his time among Liverpool, Skaneateles and Palm Harbor, FL.

As a young man Bud worked with his brothers and sisters on the family farm before learning to become an electrician. After serving in World War II, Bud returned to Liverpool to open an electrical and plumbing business, as well as an appliance retail store. Later on he opened a combination laundrymat/scratch and dent appliance center located on Cold Springs Road. His business, McArdell Electric, was a fixture in downtown Liverpool for over 50 years. 

  Bud is survived by his wife of over 40 years,

Florence; two children from a former marriage, Martha McArdell Shoemaker and Michael McArdell; two stepdaughters Catharine and Christine Cain; two grandchildren, Melanie and Crystal McArdell; five sisters: Genevieve Dixon, Florence Orman, Marie Rowe, Grace Corbin and Kay Mussi; one brother, Leo McArdell; and several nieces and nephews. 

  A funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m.

Wednesday, October 5, at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Skaneateles. A private burial will take place the following day in Lyons Falls, NY. 

  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of the Finger Lakes or to the American Legion of your choice.
