    ... FRANCIS GREEN, son of Francis Green and Elizabeth his wife, was born near Port Tobacco on April 23, 1694, according to court records. At a young age he married Elizabeth, the daughter of Benjamin Wheeler. ...

    ... On July 20, 1758, Francis Green assigned the plantation on which he was living, being 200 acres of "Green's Inheritance" to Leonard Green for a consideration of 5,443 lbs. tobacco. No wife waived dower.

    He died intestate. Letters of administration were issued to Leonard Green who filed the inventory on March 28, 1761, with William Clements and Thomas Green approving. The final account was passed by the court on April 11, 1764, reporting a balance of £38/13/3 to be distributed to heirs. The heirs were not listed in account, which stated that the representatives were "all of age." ...
