Francis 'Gene' Everhart

Francis Eugene "Gene" Everhart, 72, formerly of 1502 Port Clinton Rd, Frem ont, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin, aft er an extended illness.

He was born July 28, 1930, in Tiffin, to Paul R and Louise (Taylor) Everha rt. He married Vera Maxine Ferguson. She died in 1964. He marred Axie M ae Weaver. She died in 1974. He married Linda M Wittic and she survives.

Also surviving are: four sons, Wm Paul Everhart and Norman Eugene (Barb) E verhart, both of Fremont, Doyle Wayne Weaver of Hamilton and George Everha rt of Ky; four daughters, Mrs. Ron (Shirley Jean) Curry of Tiffin, M rs. David (Pamela Sue) Dick of Bettsville, Mrs. David (Laura) Bowers of Fr emont, and Mrs. Roger (Sharon Elaine) Rupe of Republic; 16 grandchildre n, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two brot hers, Mr. Richard "Dick" (Flo "Red") Everhart of Tiffin, and Mr. Larry (Vi rginia "Ginger") Everhart of Lindsey; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Donna) H augh of Bascom, Kaye Keernan of Las Vegas, Nev., and Joy (Low) Brockm an of Phoenix, Ariz.

Preceding him in death were: a daughter, Karen Hastings; and a sister, Pat sy Jo Reed.

Mr. Everhart was retired as a security guard at Pinkerton.

He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Tiffin. He was a U.S Army veter an serving 15 months in Panama.

Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2003, at the Hoffmann-Gottfri ed Funeral Home in Tiffin, with Brother. James P Martin officiating. Buri al will be in Rock Creek Cemetery, with full military graveside honors con ducted by the United Veterans Council.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, beginning at 1 p. m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Sene ca CO Dialysis, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
