Married twice; first between the Minister's Returns of September 25, 1771 and October 10, 1772, to Frances Williams; and second February 3, 1791 to Judith Parker, both in Sussex County, Virginia. His will is found at the Archives in Raleigh, in the records of Franklin County, North Carolina, dated January 28, 1826. The will of his wife, Judith, is also found there, dated June 22, 1836. Record of the settlement of his estate is also there, dated 1843, in which it is stated that he died testate in 1836. Like other Hines family members, Allen was also apparently well-to-do. His will lists at least thirty-eight slaves, three tracts of land, stock and personal property to be divided among a number of heirs, all listed. ...
