    Floyd S. Knapp Jr. age 80 of Greenville passed away at home on Sunday April 6, 2008.

    He was born in Greenville on August 18, 1927 the son of Floyd S. and Anna Wilson Knapp Sr. and was a graduate of Greenville High School and had served in the US Army.

    He was married on June 9, 1954 in Angola Indiana to Carolyn Newland and was a member of the Rockford Springs Community Church and former member of Spencer Mills Church. He was retired from Greenville Public Schools and was a carpenter for many years in the Greenville area.

    Surviving are his wife of 53years Carolyn, their children, Jeffrey and Catherine Knapp of Cedar Springs, James Knapp of Gowen, Joel Knapp of Lowell and Jill and Jeff Tice of Ortonville, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren, his brother, Howard and Barbara Knapp of Baldwin, his sisters-in-law, Barbara Berndt and Cathy and Bill Cole all of Sand Lake and his brother-in-law Ronald Johnson of Greenville and nieces and nephews.

    His brother Art Knapp and sisters Marguerite Johnson and Grace Knapp preceded him in death.
