    NEW HOPE, Ark. - Floyd H. Buckley , 86, of New Hope, Ark., formerly of Springfield, Taylorville and Bemidji, Minn., died Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, at his home.

    He was born Aug. 9, 1914, in Springfield, the son of Hughbert and Beulah Marie Hart Buckley. He married Marie L. Ralph in 1936 in Springfield. He was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and Ronald Buckley.

    Mr. Buckley was a locomotive engineer for Chicago and Illinois Midland Railroad for 22 years. He was a boiler engineer at Bemidji State University for 20 years.

    He was a 33rd Degree Mason, worshipful past master of Bemidji Lodge AF&AM in Bemidji, Minn., and Cass Lodge AF&AM in Cass Lake, Minn. He was a life member of Baker Springs Lodge in Utica, Ark., a member of Red Cross of Constantine, Scottish and York Rite in Duluth, Minn., Potentate of AAD Temple in Duluth, Minn., Imperial Shrine Marshall, DeMolay Legion member, Rotary Club, Elks Club, Eagles Club and Moose Club in Bemidji, Minn.

    Survivors: wife, Marie and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel.

    Burial: Roselawn Memorial Park.
