OBITUARY FROM BURLINGTON TIMES-NEWS: Florence Graves Staley GRAHAM — Mrs.. Florence Graves Staley, 78, formerly of Beale Road, Snow Camp, died at 11:04 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2000, at The Oaks Retirement Center in Elon College after four weeks of declining health, two weeks critical.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Mr. Carl Edward Staley, who is deceased, and the daughter of Mr. Reid I. Graves, and Mrs.. Lucy Isley Graves, both deceased. She was a retired employee of Kayser-Roth Hosiery and a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church and its Philathea Sunday school class.

She is survived by a son, Mr. Carl R. Staley of Burlington.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs.. Pearl G. Isley; and three brothers, Mr. Hazel Graves, Mr. Mannie Graves, and Mr. June Graves.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Friendship United Methodist Church by the Rev. Alvin Horne. Burial will be in Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home of the son, 613 N. Gurney St., Burlington.
