Florence M. Andera

WILTON, Iowa -- Florence M. Andera, of Wilton, Iowa, died on Saturday, January 21, 2006, at Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, with a rosary recited at 3:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wilton. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2006, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wilton. Interment will take place at the St. Mary's Cemetery, Wilton. Florence Feltman Andera was born August 17, 1917, to George and Mary "Bessie" (Olinger) Feltman in Chamberlain, S.D. She married Raymond Andera on January 2, 1937, in Wilton. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1980. She worked in janitorial services at the Wilton Savings Bank for many years. Florence was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wilton, and Altar and Rosary. She enjoyed going to breakfast and lunch as well as playing cards with her lady friends. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Betty (and her husband Steve) Wacker, of Tuscon, Ariz.; her sons, Robert Andera, of Wilton, and Donald (and his wife Sylvia) Andera, of Marshalltown, Iowa; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and her caregiver and friend, Chris Putnam. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Andera, her parents, and a grandson, Pete Andera. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund or the Wilton Community Center and Library in her memory.
