Florence R. Anglin, 83, of Sunset Park Place, 3730 Pennsylvania Ave., died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at Ennoble Manor Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Columbkille's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Garden Mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Siegert-Casper Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave. Mrs. Anglin worked at the former Dubuque Packing Co. for more than 30 years, prior to retiring. She was born on May 2, 1921, in New Vienna, Iowa, daughter of Hugo and Adelheid (Kluesner) Ahlers. She married Walter J. Anglin on Nov. 7, 1949, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubuque; he passed away on Dec. 22, 1978. She was a longtime member of St. Columbkille's Catholic Church. Surviving are a sister, Irene Korslin, of Roseville, Minn.; a sister-in-law, Patricia (Howard) Anglin-Madigan, of Boulder, Colo.; a niece, Anita (John) Speltz, of Roseville; and many special friends. She also was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Laverne "Bud" Ahlers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.
