Civil War Service Confederate

Company G, Walker's Battalion, Thomas' Legion, North Carolina These were Mounted Riflemen enlisted and mustered into the service of the Confederate States September 24, 1862, at Dandridge, Tennessee, for local defense. This company was transfered to the 1st Carter's Regiment Tennessee Cavalry about November, 1862 and became Company H of that regiment. Fielding died of disease at the General Hospital, Montgomery White Sulphur Springs, Va. April 11, 1864
