Ezra Baldwin s of Jonathan and Thankful (Strong) was born 1 December 1706 (Milford Vital Records), baptized 3 December 1706 (First Congregational Society, Milford) and died Durham, Conn. 26 March 1782 in his 76th yr. He married Ruth Curtis (DAR Patriot Index). He removed to Durham, Conn. but his 1st four children were born in Milford."

    "57. Ezra3 Jonathan2 Joseph,1 b. September [Dec. 1], 1706; bapt. Dec. 3, 1706. His wife was named Ruth. … Ezra was Deacon in Durham; d. March 26, 1782, in his 76th year, as appears by his tombstone. He was, in October, 1730, one of the original subscribers of the Book Company of Durham, supposed by Prof Fowler to be the first town library in the Colony. His tombstone in Durham says: 'Having with much usefulness in life faithfully served his own generation, according to the will of God, fell on sleep March 26, 1782, in the 76th year of his age.'"
