Gail writes: Ezekiel Harlan appears to have been an enterprising citizen and somewhat of a land speculator. There is an interesting tradition that Ezekiel returned to England to get some property, which he or the family had inherited, converted into cash. He was about to return when he caught smallpox and died. His will, dated 14 Nov 1730, states that he was about to take a voyage to old England.Citation needed

Birthdate of August 16, 1679 found at http://www.halcyon.com/millerm/mainpage.htm. I feel that they may have added the two months onto the date to adjust the calendar and they may not should have.

I have seen birth site as Parish of Donnahlong, county of Down, Province of Ulster, Ireland.Citation needed

LDS Ancestral File has April 15, 1731 as date of death in Bunn Hill, England (?). It also has several dates for marriage and some more children to him and his first wife.

From the book "Immigration of Irish Quakers" it has on p. 128: "In 1706, he (Henry Pierce) was appointed supervisor of the highways, and Ezekiel Harlan (son of George Harlan), the heaviest tax payer in the township (Kennett), succeeded him as constable. George Harlan and Gayen Miller were probably the first of the Irish Friends to secure land in Kennett."

Terry Walters at http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/w/a/l/Terry-Leon-Walters/GENE12-0018.html has date of death as 15 April 1732.
