There is one thing, that I wanted to tell you about the parents of Eva Katharina Braun - I found in the Mezöbereny file another couple Braun, that would fit as parents to her - so it is not necessarily Peter and Appolonia Braun - what a pity!

In the death-register from Mezöbereny there are three notes from the early years of the village, which could show the parents of Eva Katharina. First the death 0f Appolonia Braun 11.05.1736 in the age of 58 years, widow of Peter Braun (the entry, you've found) But there are also the entries of Georg Conrad Praun (23.01.1748) in the age of 70 years April 4th 1749 his widow Anna Katharina Praunin in the age of 61 Jahren. Both Apollonia (born 1677 / 78) and Anna Katharina (born 1687 / 88) could thus be the mother of Eva Katharina (born 1719). In addition to that, names often were misspelled, so Praun often enough is Braun! Most proabably the two Braun/Praun men were brothers, but not necessarily!
