Born in 1673 [presumably in Paris, France], E'tienne arrived in Acadia around 1690, married around 1696 to Anne DAIGLE. Twelve children are listed. In 1723 he was at St. Pierre-du-Nord, Isle St. Jean, where he was buried on 25 Jun 1742.

Land was donated to Estienne POTEVIN dit PARISIEN on 15 May 1700 by Marie GAUDET, widow in first marriage of Olivier DAIGUE [or DAIGRE] [who were parents of Estienne's wife Anne], and in second marriage of Jean GAUDET [sic, should be FARDEL?], and a habitant of Port Royal. The property is named "La Rustie" located in the upper part of the "Ruisseau du Dauphin," bordered by Antoine HEBERT and OUILLEAU [?] St. Christophe. Signed by an X mark of Marie GAUDET; and by Elie de MOULON.
