Obit at funeralS1: Ethel Maxine, daughter of Stephen and Bessie Antle Nolte, was born on a farm in Adair County, Iowa on September 7, 1918 and passed away at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa on April 25, 1981. She had suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage. She grew up on the farm and attended country school and Stuart High School. On September 30, 1936 she was united in marriage to Kenneth McLuen. He passed away in 1963. In 1966 she was married to Harold E. Miller of rural Menlo. Ethel was a happy person, enjoying her home and loving the farm. She liked all kinds of animals and enjoyed her pets. She took great pride in her garden and yard and helped also with the outside work on the farm. Drinking in the beauty of the sunrise and sunset brought her much happiness. Other hobbies were playing the piano and playing solitaire. She also had an interest in world news. Her many friends will miss her. Preceding her in death were her parent, one brother and her husband Kenneth. Surviving are her husband Harold; one sister, Florence Nolte, of Stuart; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
