Mrs. Esther A Norton, aged 75 years, widow of the late James M Norton, died yesterday at her home on Dummer street after a long illness with a complication of diseases resulting from a paralytic shock which she suffered more than a year ago.
Mrs. Norton was born in Phippsburg the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Wildes where her childhood days were spent. She married early in life and moved to this city where she had since resided.
She was a well known woman with a lovable disposition who was held in high esteem by her large circle of friends, and had been an active attendant of the Universalist church for many years.
Two sons, James and Fred of Boston, survive her and also a daughter, Mrs. Annie Swett of Bath. The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon from her late home at 87 Dummer street.
