Obituary:

Union City: Esther Geraldine Smith, 79, 606 N. Stateline St., died Monday, May 22, 1995, at her home. She was born Oct. 22, 1915, in Darke county, Ohio to John and Bertha Hittle Krick and had lived in Union City most of her life. She was a member of the Union City Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her husband, Harry C. Smith; four daughters, Janet Burleson of Belton, Texas, Barbra Carlson of Whitewater, Terry Brane of Fort Wayne and Karen Smith of Oxford, Ohio; one sister, Caroline Shaw of Madison; two brothers, Chalmer Krick of Greenville, Ohio and John Krick of Lynn. She was preceded in death by two sons, John D. and Harry Smith Jr., three brothers, Wilber, Walter, and Leonard Krick, two sisters, Florence McCabe and Ruth Krick and one great-grandchild. Service will be at 1 p.m. (Indiana time) Thursday, May 25, at Reichard Funeral Home , with the Rev. Howard Parker officiating. Burial will be in Brick Cemetery at Union City. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
