NOTE: The mother's name is the same as given for all Ichabod's children, and is presumed to indicate Hester Horton, Ichabod's first wife. Either the (transcribed) VR records for the births of John, Hannah, Nathan, Esther and James are incorrect, or the (transcribed) VR that indicates that Ichabod married Hannah Andrew/Andras in 1739 is incorrect (or Hannah married a different Ichabod Franklin of Attleboro). Most compilers list the children born after 1739 as children of Hannah Andrews, and I have followed this, on the basis that there may be other information of which I am unaware. However, it is just as possible that the marriage date of Ichabod Franklin and Hannah Andrews was transcribed incorrectly, and they were married after 1751. I have been unable to find the death record of Ichabod's first wife.
