TURNER, Ephraim, s. Charles, [born] Nov. 26, 1701 [sic, see Thomas].
TURNER, Thomas, s. Charles and Mercy, [born] Mar. 9, 1701 [sic, see Ephraim].
[Note: these records are incompatible. Original does appear to say what published records says. It is believed that the explanation is that Thomas' birth was misrecorded. Given his baptism 11 Mar 1710-11, it is believed that year of birth for Thomas should say 1711, and it could be argued that the original looks like it may have at one time. Therefore, it is presumed that this child was named Ephraim and matched the recorded death in 1702. Note that baptism records, as seen in NEHGR, Vol. 58, p. 85 were not kept in the years prior to 1704 and the attempted reconstruction (see Vol. 57, p. 322-324) probably only listed those children still living at the time of reconstruction. In any event, there does not seem to be a baptism for this birth.]
