"3. Ephraim2 Tiffany (Humphrey1) was born at Milton, Massachusetts, 26 December 1777 and died at Lyme, Connecticut, in 1727 [New London District Probate File 5279). … The date of Ephraim's move to Lyme is not known, but it was probably soon after the death of his brother Consider in 1708. He was made freeman at Lyme in 1714. … Ephraim died in 1727, and in 1734 his eldest son Samuel, with the agreement of his adult brothers, Consider, Humphrey, and Ephraim, paid off the mortgage for £236 and sold the entire '300 acres of farm with barn, dwelling house and half a sawmill' to three Brockway brothers, Richard, William, and John, for £760."

"The name 'Leshia' seems to be a palpable misreading for Bethia, as the name appears in her bond as Administratrix on Ephraim's estate, 14 Nov. 1727; the inventory was taken 11 Oct. 1727 [New London Probate District, File No. 5279]."
