His will, waterstained, mildewed, and generally showing its age, confirms the names of his children. There is no mention of Ephraim's wife, so I assume she was already deceased. Elijah was named sole executor. It is a very confusing document, lacking ending to sentences and other clarifications a 21st century reader would expect. He bounces between children, dividing his land and other belongings, but does manage to mention everyone's name and relationship. Jabez Rogers and Ephraim Cross are mentioned as adjacent neighbors.

The "... east part of my dwelling home and barn all which is to be equally divided between them and further more I give my Wood Lott to be equally divided between my said three sons Ephraim Elijah and Elias..."

Ephraim reserves "...for the use of my daughters untill they are married..." his west room. Further on, "my Suskehanuch Write of Law I give to be equally divided half between my three sons and other half between my Nine Daughters Elizabeth Phebe Hannah Mary Marcy Lydia Olive Sarah Elise..."

Thomas' female children were not neglected. "My last named Daughters having Received part of their portion before Therefore my Will is that my other three viz Lydia Sarah and Alice shall be made equal with the fore named six daughters and furthermore I give my Daughters after this Day one Cow in part of portion to come..."

Finally, "... if any shall Remain it Shall be Equally Divided amongst all my sons and daughters and if it should happen to be not enough my three sons shall make it good."

Nathaniel and David Rogers and William Welch witnessed the will.
